A fragmented reflection of the self, where space dissolves into images and the individual becomes a shifting presence within an infinite field of perception.

Multiplying the Self

Conceived for Milan Design Week 2025, the installation explores identity as a fluid and unstable construct, drawing a parallel with adolescence as a formative phase. Mirrored surfaces generate endless reflections, multiplying bodies and faces into a fractured visual field. What begins as recognition gradually shifts into uncertainty, echoing the way young identities are shaped through repetition, comparison, and change.

A Distorted Continuum

The spatial sequence unfolds as an immersive path where perception is continuously altered. Reflections move and misalign, creating a condition of visual instability that mirrors the inner complexity of adolescence. The space becomes a metaphorical landscape where the self is tested, stretched, and redefined—caught between external influences and personal awareness, between who we are and who we are becoming.

Reassembling Identity

Beyond its visual impact, the installation reflects on identity as a process of construction rather than a fixed state. Fragmentation becomes a necessary step toward self-definition, much like in adolescence, where instability fosters growth. Reused materials reinforce this narrative of transformation, suggesting that identity is continuously assembled from experience, memory, and context—never complete, always in progress.
