Where movement and memory intersect—a retail landscape shaped by volume and rhythm
A Dialogue with History
Located near Place Charles de Gaulle in Paris, the project transforms a site marked by a rich cultural history into a contemporary retail destination. Once home to the historic Théâtre des Folies Wagram, the space retains a subtle connection to its past, allowing traces of its former identity to coexist with new architectural interventions. The result is an environment where heritage and contemporary retail experience are brought into dialogue through a careful and measured approach.
Volume, Circulation and Exposed Structure
Spanning 2.000 square meters across two levels, the store is organized around a sculptural central staircase that establishes visual continuity and guides movement throughout the space. The exposed ceiling reveals the technical infrastructure as an integral architectural element, contributing to the character of the interior rather than remaining concealed. Structure, materiality and light work together to create an environment defined by openness, rhythm and spatial clarity.
An Environment Shaped by Movement
Natural and artificial light reinforce the perception of depth and continuity, accompanying circulation paths and enhancing the fluidity of the interior landscape. As visitors move through the store, shifting perspectives reveal new relationships between volume, transparency and scale. Movement becomes an active component of the spatial experience, shaping the way the architecture is perceived and inhabited.
