An alpine refuge reimagined as a tactile landscape, where the codes of fashion encounter the raw clarity of the mountain and transform into spatial experience.

Framing the Alpine Context

Set within the iconic winter scenery of Cortina, the Dior pop-up is conceived as a dialogue with its surroundings. The project interprets the alpine environment through a restrained architectural language, where natural references are abstracted into essential forms. Wood surfaces evoke the warmth of mountain shelters, while the overall composition remains precise and controlled, establishing a quiet balance between landscape and brand presence.

Material Contrasts

The space is defined by a deliberate contrast between textures and temperatures. Raw concrete and smooth finishes introduce a sense of coolness, counterbalanced by the tactile quality of timber elements. This interplay constructs an environment that feels both grounded and refined, where material becomes the primary narrative device. Within this calibrated setting, the vibrant tones of the collection emerge with clarity, framed rather than overwhelmed by the architecture.

An Immersive Display

More than a temporary store, the installation operates as an immersive device for the activewear collection. Display elements are conceived as part of a continuous spatial system, guiding movement and perception through subtle shifts in scale and rhythm. The result is a cohesive environment where fashion, space, and atmosphere converge—transforming the act of retail into a composed, almost contemplative experience shaped by contrast, light, and material presence.
