An oasis for decompression—an environment shaped by suspended lightness
A Space Designed in Softness
Developed as a temporary installation, Goodbye Discomfort explores how the quality of lightness can be translated into spatial experience. Rather than addressing comfort as a purely physical condition, the project reframes it as a perceptual and atmospheric experience, creating an environment that encourages decompression, reflection and a slower perception of time.
Fabric as Atmosphere, Structure as Pause
A breathable, adaptive textile defines the installation and becomes the primary tool for shaping space. Extending beyond its material function, the fabric generates a soft and immersive atmosphere where transparency acts as a threshold and the textile itself becomes an inhabitable environment. The installation takes the form of a suspended cubic volume composed of concentric fabric bands, enclosing a calibrated void that invites pause, recalibration and quiet.
A Place for Reconnection
Conceived for the student community that moves through the space on a daily basis, the installation offers a temporary refuge from the intensity of everyday routines. Its suspended presence evokes the lightness of a breath, creating an environment that encourages stillness and sensory engagement. Activated through movement and interaction, the space responds to presence, unfolding gradually through contact and exploration.
